What makes me different

Experience: I have been practicing law in Toronto since 1976.

Personal attention: I will give my personal attention to your case. I can provide both the day-to-day familiarity with your case and the expertise to know how best to deal with it. Lawyers in large firms cannot offer that level of service.

The most common complaint about lawyers is that they do not communicate adequately with their clients. I will speak to you on the phone when you call, or if I am in court, I will return your call promptly. My clients appreciate that I am available and willing to talk to them.

Broad knowledge of law: Clients' legal problems are becoming increasingly complex, and difficult to pigeonhole into any one area of specialization. I have personal experience in business law, real estate, estates and family law. This gives me a significant advantage over opposing lawyers who are too specialized to see the entire picture.

Cost effectiveness: I am sensitive to the high cost of litigation, and I endeavour to make it affordable for my clients. I recognize that most clients cannot afford the high hourly rates that large firms charge. I will not waste your money pursuing a case that you are likely to lose, but I will represent you tenaciously if your case has merit.

Quality of work: I personally review all legal documents that go out of my office, and I take great pride in their quality. They look good, and they are well-written and well-researched. My oral presentations in court exhibit the same high standard.
